Logistics Specialist Role
In this key position at Mageba, you will oversee all logistical aspects of our operations, ensuring seamless and efficient processes. Your responsibilities will include managing stock levels, coordinating shipments, and working closely with suppliers and carriers to optimize routes and modes of transport.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize shipments, considering lead times, quantities, and destinations, while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishments to meet operational requirements.
- Work with logistics service providers to arrange national and international transport, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any logistical challenges.
- Handle documentation for international shipments, including commercial invoices and customs declarations.
- Track and trace shipments in transit, communicating with carriers to ensure safe and timely delivery.
- Handle goods returns, coordinating collections and replacements as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
Your Profile
- Vocational education in Foreign Trade or a related field, with commercial training and specialization in general transportation.
- Fluent German and English language skills, with additional languages an asset.
- Solid understanding of logistics principles, including stock management, transport, warehousing, and route planning.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export requirements.
- Proven adaptability, analytical skills, and stress resistance.
- Experience with specialist software, such as ERP and logistics tools.
