**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to join our Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation team in Geneva. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing accountability tools for funding agencies and stakeholders, providing qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions, and fostering a monitoring and evaluation culture within the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Monitoring and Evaluation Lead will be responsible for:

  • Updating and managing the Alliance results framework, collecting information, updating the framework, and devising a strategy for communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading the response to donor data requests, ensuring alignment with their requirements against our own reporting needs. Ensuring requests are met promptly and producing data for both donor and external stakeholders.
  • Processing, developing, and analyzing data on global-level and project-level indicators. This includes cleaning, analyzing, and summarizing data collected through various Alliance instruments using appropriate statistical techniques.
  • Overseeing project M&E requirements, including tasks such as assisting project officers in drafting M&E-related sections in project proposals, guiding project officers throughout project implementation to ensure M&E requirements are met, and leading and supporting results planning.

**Requirements and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced degree in economics, social sciences, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience relevant to monitoring and evaluation, with experience on trade facilitation, international trade economics, or international development an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of and skills in applied monitoring and evaluation/social science research methods and statistical techniques, including knowledge of a range of evaluation data collection, analysis methods, and mixed methods.
