The World Economic Forum, a leading international organization for public-private cooperation, is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to join its Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation team in Geneva.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled professional with at least 7 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation to lead the development of accountability tools for funding agencies and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating and managing the Alliance results framework, processing and analyzing data on global-level and project-level indicators, and overseeing project M&E requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and manage the Alliance results framework, collecting information, updating the framework, and devising a strategy for communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the response to donor data requests, ensuring alignment with their requirements against our own reporting needs. Ensure requests are met promptly and produce data for both donor and external stakeholders.
- Process, develop, and analyze data on global-level and project-level indicators. This includes cleaning, analyzing, and summarizing data collected through various Alliance instruments using appropriate statistical techniques.
- Oversee project M&E requirements, including tasks such as assisting project officers in drafting M&E-related sections in project proposals, guiding project officers throughout project implementation to ensure M&E requirements are met, and leading the development and enhancement of M&E data collection tools.
- Contribute to foster a monitoring and evaluation culture in the Organization through capacity building within the organization.
Requirements and Experience:
- Advanced degree in economics, social sciences, statistics or related field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience relevant to monitoring and evaluation. Experience on trade facilitation, international trade economics or international development an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of and skills in applied monitoring and evaluation/social science research methods and statistical techniques.
- Knowledge of theories of change and logic models and ability to facilitate development of theories of change and logic models.
- Experience in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods research and monitoring and evaluation methods is required.
