Programme Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Specialist to join our team at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of programmes and projects related to humanitarian affairs, and to contribute to the development of strategies and policies that promote human well-being.
About the RoleThis position will support the management of various programme components within OCHA, including programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, with experience in coordinating multiple tasks and deadlines. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
Responsibilities- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programme activities, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and objectives;
- Coordinate with programme teams to ensure the timely completion of project deliverables and milestones;
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including programme partners, donors, and other external organizations;
- Contribute to the development of reports, briefings, and other written materials, providing technical expertise and analysis as required;
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting learning and development opportunities.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in programme management, with a focus on humanitarian affairs;
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in English, with working knowledge of French an asset.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
