International Translator for Global Development

At International Blue Cross, we are seeking a skilled translator to support our IBC Academy. As a volunteer translator, you will have the opportunity to work with us on a global scale, contributing to our mission of tackling alcohol- and other drug-related health-, social- and development issues.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will possess experience in simultaneous translations and be motivated to gain work experience within an international non-governmental organization (NGO). Team spirit, honesty, and trustworthiness are essential qualities for this role.
We estimate that this position is worth approximately $25-$30 per hour, based on industry standards and the level of expertise required.
Key Responsibilities- Support our IBC Academy by translating sessions held throughout the year, covering various topics with our member organizations.
- Conduct simultaneous translations between English and French.
- Experience in simultaneous translations.
- Motivation to gain work experience within an international NGO.
- Team spirit, honesty, and trustworthiness.
You can contribute your time as and when available. We are looking for volunteers committed to supporting us for at least one year.
