The Dynamic and Distributed Information Systems Group at the University of Zurich is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate technical approaches for supporting physicians in their daily activities. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate interested in working on systems that help physicians diagnose patients with rare diseases.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research at the intersection of computer science and AI/NLP
- Develop and apply large language models, large and multi-modal data processing, and embedding spaces
- Investigate technical approaches for supporting physicians in their daily activities
- Collaborate with the research group on projects related to news recommender systems and/or political deliberation
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, NLP, or a related discipline (or will be receiving it shortly)
- Passion for discovering new things
- Experience in AI, large language models, machine learning, semantic web technologies, and/or behavioral analyses
- Proficiency in German is not mandatory but recommended
