Associate Legal Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Legal Officer to join our team at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the Legal Counsel and contributing to the development of the Organization's legal framework.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of international law issues, including public and private law;
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, agreements, and contracts;
- Provide legal advice on human resources matters and assist in reviewing administrative decisions;
- Represent the Organization before arbitral and other tribunals or administrative proceedings;
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of data and provide insights through data visualization methods;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree or equivalent in law;
- A minimum of two years of progressively responsible professional experience in law, including legal analysis, research, and writing;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written);
- Knowledge of other official languages of the Organization would be an advantage.
- Annual net base salary on initial appointment is: US$ 50377;
- Annual post adjustment on initial salary is: US$ in addition to the net base salary;
- Possibility of renewal subject to the availability of funds and pending satisfactory performance.
