Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee within Control and Reporting to join our team at SCOR. As a key member of our Control & Reporting department, you will play a vital role in maintaining the internal control framework, coordinating internal control campaigns, and monitoring business processes related to managing insurance and reinsurance contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the internal control framework, ensuring it is up-to-date and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate internal control campaigns across the globe, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring.
  • Monitor and control specific business processes related to managing insurance and reinsurance contracts, ensuring they are running smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Produce reports for various use cases, including reconciliation reports and reports related to different regulators' data calls.
  • Process TA&A reports in a timely and high-quality manner, adhering to existing guidelines.
  • Support projects and clean-up activities, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Audit reviews of local hubs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously review and improve the quality of controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Unify the control framework, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Maintain and improve the ICS framework, addressing ongoing challenges and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Support the TA&A team and improve coordination across the world on control campaign and process steps.
  • Contribute to transversal challenges within the department, including data, process, and system-related initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain the Sanction & Embargo Process and Tax calculation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Improve the audit trail of the S&E review, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Solid statistical knowledge and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in reinsurance.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and conceptual capabilities.
  • Reinsurance knowledge and eagerness to deepen expertise.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex topics and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
