The Team

Our team consists of a group of talented and experienced individuals, each bringing unique skills and expertise to the table.

As a key member, you will work closely with our visionary founder and CEO, Dr. Gabriele Zirpoli, who combines a strong scientific background with a deep understanding of programming and web development. Dr. Zirpoli's passion for science, technology, and innovation drives our mission to take ScienceLife to new heights and drive meaningful change in the world of science.

We also have Dr. Leonidas Emmanouilidis, a highly educated and accomplished scientist with a unique blend of expertise and passion, serving as our scientific advisor. Born and raised in Greece, Leonidas has a love for learning and discovery, and his combination of scientific expertise and a keen eye for innovation makes him a valuable resource for any organization looking to stay at the forefront of scientific developments.

Finally, Prof. Dr. Peter Chen, a highly respected professor in Physical Chemistry at ETH, rounds out our team as a scientific advisor. With an extensive network and a wealth of experience in his field, he is well-positioned to help us reach new heights and achieve our goals.

Opportunity

We are seeking a technical co-founder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend programming and a deep understanding of blockchain/NFT technologies. This is an equity-based position, with the opportunity to have a significant impact on the success of the company.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with the team to design and develop the backend of our product.
  2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  3. Work closely with the founders to define the product vision and strategy.
  4. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.

Requirements

  • Be driven and passionate about ScienceLife's mission and vision.
  • Be a self-starter and a team-player.
  • Take ownership and operate with first principles thinking.
  • Have excellent relationship management and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Have a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Be in Switzerland (preferably Zürich).

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Node.js and backend programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, C#).
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong experience in and knowledge of blockchain/NFT technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure's cloud platform.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A passion for learning and staying up to date with the latest developments in the tech industry.
