Job Description

As an Electronics Engineer at CERN, you will work on the development of advanced electronics systems for particle physics experiments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing firmware for FPGA-based systems, utilizing HDL simulation tools and in-system testing.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic components into complex systems.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers to develop and implement new technologies and innovations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field, with 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience, or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation experience.
  • Proficiency in VHDL and experience with HDL synthesis and implementation tools, such as AMD/Xilinx Vivado.
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuit design and microprocessor programming.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
