Job Title: Senior Accountant, Finance International

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant, Finance International to join our team at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. This role will be responsible for supporting the growth and expansion of our company in Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and analyses.
  • Conduct Balance Sheet and Income Statement account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with external accounting firms to prepare and review local statutory financial statements, indirect and direct tax returns, and other compliance requirements.
  • Interact with external auditors to ensure timely and efficient annual consolidated and local statutory audits.
  • Participate in ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a multinational company.
  • Life science industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a growth stage company in an international environment, working with external and remote internal and external resources, with tight deadlines.
  • Independently motivated, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multitask in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Advanced financial systems knowledge, including Oracle Fusion and Blackline, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.
  • Experience liaising with external statutory auditors and statutory financial statement preparation.
  • Fluent English; other main European languages are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or ACCA qualification.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management is a plus.
