Industrial Production Leader

Oxford Instruments, a Swiss high-tech company, is looking for an Industrial Production Leader to join their team based in Zurich. The primary goal of this position is to ensure production meets customer demand on time and to quality.
As part of the Operations Team, you will lead continuous improvement efforts to show improving cost, efficiency, quality, and lead time. Your experience with low-volume, highly complex engineering/production will be valuable assets in this role.
To succeed in this position, you should have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics, as well as several years of experience managing the production and testing of complex high-tech products.
Additional skills required include Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, project management, and ERP/MRP system experience. Knowledge of nanoindentation, atomic force microscopy, vacuum systems, or electron microscopy is also advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering positive cost, quality, and performance results. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify staffing levels and training needs necessary to maximize production efficiency.
The Industrial Production Leader will be responsible for ensuring output aligns with agreed delivery dates and that products meet required quality standards. They will also manage the manufacturing team, support them in meeting goals and objectives, and identify tools and equipment necessary to perform tasks effectively.
This role offers an opportunity to develop key suppliers, implement long-term agreements, and improve supply chain processes. Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute to creating a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
