IT Data Architect

Alpiq is embarking on a transformative journey, with data at the heart of this change. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's data strategy, infrastructure, and systems.

Your responsibilities will span various aspects of data management, ensuring that data is accurately stored, processed, and made accessible to those who need it.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing a robust data architecture that meets business needs and objectives.
  • Developing data models that outline how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems.
  • Overseeing the integration of new technologies and systems into the data architecture, including migrating data from legacy systems to new platforms.
  • Collaborating with IT teams and the business to ensure the data architecture meets business requirements and supports data-driven decision-making.
  • Aligning with broader Data Governance goals in the areas of Data Quality, Compliance, and Data Security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in IT or data-related roles.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools and methodologies, understanding of normalization, and experience in designing entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
  • Experience with data platform solutions, including data storage, integration tools, and frameworks, data management, and data governance tooling.
  • Understanding of cloud services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of data security principles, privacy laws, and experience in implementing data governance frameworks.
