Senior Communications Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications professional to join our team at Wachsman as a Senior Consultant, Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing highly successful global PR campaigns, managing day-to-day internal and external communications, and delivering exceptional client service to support client retention and organic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to drive business growth and enhance our clients' reputation.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and stakeholders to secure positive press coverage.
  • Lead crisis communications efforts, including issues management and reputation repair.
  • Conduct media training and workshops for senior clients to enhance their communication skills.
  • Oversee the successful servicing of multiple client accounts, including allocating resources and managing workloads.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team of PR professionals, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for clients to move their brands and businesses forward.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' recent communications experience, preferably in a global PR agency or in-house communications role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Business-level English fluency and German capabilities required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of the media landscape and ability to navigate complex communications issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
  • Experience in successfully managing crisis communications and leading high-performing teams.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and soft skills, with a passion for mentoring and coaching junior colleagues.
  • Motivated to excel in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of social, organizational, and professional standards.
