About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at Swissquote Bank. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of compliance professionals in ensuring that our operations are in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and support a team of compliance professionals in achieving their goals and objectives.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members.
    • Address any potential conflicts or issues among team members in a timely and professional manner.
    • Support employee growth and development through training, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Hiring and Performance Management:
    • Lead the recruitment process for new compliance professionals, ensuring that they are properly introduced to the team and the organization.
    • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
    • Address any performance issues or concerns in a fair and timely manner.
  • Operations Management:
    • Prepare and distribute review cases to team members, ensuring that they are aligned with their availability and experience levels.
    • Review and approve team members' review forms, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements.
    • Manage complex cases and oversee the follow-up and resolution of pending cases.
    • Contribute to continuous process improvement, including the drafting and editing of internal guidelines.
    • Ensure that the team's mission is achieved and deadlines are met.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance or a similar position, with at least 2 years of experience as a team leader.
    • Law degree and/or CAS in Compliance in Financial Services (formerly CAS in Compliance Management) are strong assets.
    • Excellent knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws, especially in anti-money laundering regulations.
    • Leadership skills and a strong interest in training and coaching.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with high workloads.
    • Excellent command of English and French.
