About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Carrier Innovation Technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC systems and a strong background in technology strategy and development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze trends and needs for HVAC systems with breakthrough advantages, such as sustainability, cost, and footprint.
  • Understand technologies under development by Carrier and accelerate their deployment for European applications.
  • Design and manage the tactical aspects of the job, working closely with the global Breakthrough Technologies team and local business units.
  • Substantial travel required, with up to 50% of time spent on the road, mostly within Europe.

Requirements

  • Masters in Science and Engineering fields, with 5+ years of experience in technology strategy and development related to HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects, with a strong background in systems engineering, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • PhD in Science and Engineering fields a plus, with working knowledge of HVAC systems, especially heat-pumps systems for residential, commercial, and district applications.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of HVAC and/or energy systems, at working and leading levels.
  • Experience in experimental work for HVAC and/or energy systems, at working and leading levels.
  • Knowledge of design thinking methodologies and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, intercultural environment.
