Job Opportunity:

Carrier, a world leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and cold chain technology, is seeking a Technical Solutions Strategist to lead the development of disruptive climate solutions. Located in the Kriens region, this permanent role involves close collaboration with the global Breakthrough Technologies (BTS) team and local business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology strategy and development related to HVAC systems, with experience in project management and leading projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends and needs for HVAC systems with breakthrough advantages, focusing on sustainability, cost, and footprint.
  • Understand existing technologies developed by Carrier and accelerate their deployment for European applications.
  • Design and manage the tactical aspects of the job, working closely with the BTS team and local business units.
  • Travel extensively, up to 50%, primarily within Europe, with annual overseas trips.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Science and Engineering fields, such as systems engineering, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technology strategy and development related to HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and leading projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Science and Engineering fields.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, specifically heat-pump systems for residential, commercial, and district applications.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of HVAC and/or energy systems.
  • Experience in experimental work for HVAC and/or energy systems.
  • Experience with design and technology development processes for new product development.
  • Working knowledge of Design thinking methodologies.
