Job Description:

As a seasoned professional, you will take on the role of Director, Project Delivery Lead in our Global Engineering Department. This position requires leading one or multiple specific growth investment projects, planning, managing, and executing them through their entire life cycle.

This is an engineering discipline role that provides leadership to project teams, builds and maintains relationships with internal customers, vendors, and contractors. You will have cross-functional interactions with Lab Leads, validation engineers, facility management, and operations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements.

The primary responsibility is delivering project goals in terms of cost, time, functionality, and client expectations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing project plans to meet objectives through Engineering, Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification phases
  • Establishing project charters with scope of work, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are met according to internal procedures and specifications, as well as health authority requirements
  • Clarifying roles and responsibilities within the project organization and developing communication documents
  • Establishing project teams and structures necessary to reach project goals, ensuring coaching, development, and performance feedback for direct reports
  • Securing optimal information flow within the project organization and at interfaces with sponsors, steering committees, and external partners
  • Reporting regularly to ensure projects are on track and identifying potential issues, including both internal and external stakeholders

You will be responsible for ensuring that projects comply with all relevant regulations and legal requirements. A strong understanding of Chemical and/or Biotech/Pharma industry API manufacturing projects is essential.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related science discipline, with at least 10+ years of experience in CAPEX API projects
  • Deep knowledge in Project Management, Strategy, and Execution, including controlling and benchmarking
  • High motivation, independence, decisiveness, and the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Leadership experience for cross-functional matrix teams (10+ people)
  • Fluent English is a must, German is a significant advantage

We offer a competitive salary range: $**140,000 - $180,000** per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
