Job Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking transformational project delivery manager with change management experience to join our established and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating a range of PMO and project controls services to support designated projects within the PMO and planning centre of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct and manage the application of specific project controls methods, techniques, and tools with a good working knowledge of a variety of techniques on a range of project and programme complexity.
  2. Direct and manage a team of professionals delivering project controls services and responsible for staff development.
  3. Evaluate trends and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment using numerical and statistical techniques as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  4. Lead the application of specific project controls methods, techniques, and tools.
  5. Have a good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
  6. Advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
  7. Manage project controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
  8. Play a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take a lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
  9. Lead and manage a team of professionals delivering project controls services and responsible for staff development.
  10. Manage assistant managers & managers where required by the scale of the project.
  11. Persuade and influence colleagues.
  12. Influence clients to accept proposals and recommendations.
  13. Satisfy customer requirements.
  14. Tackle problems that do not have an obvious solution.
  15. Delegate tasks to others.
  16. Sell the business and win work.
  17. Create and deliver persuasive presentations to large audiences.
  18. Spot and develop talented individuals.
Requirements
  1. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Willingsness to be part of a high-performing team.
  4. Articulate and has potential to assimilate information quickly.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Experience of working on construction projects and/or consultancy.
  7. Experience of delivering effective PMO and project controls/assurance frameworks/strategies.
  8. Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques, and software e.g. MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6, and RiskHive.
  9. An interest in data analytics.
  10. Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy.
  11. Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals.
  12. Good interpersonal skills and potential ability to form effective working relationships.
  13. Effectively collaborates with others.
  14. Ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience.
  15. Seeks to continuously improve.
  16. Create and deliver clear and professional presentations to project teams/clients.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and contribute to the delivery of complex projects. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience.

The salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a bonus scheme, pension scheme, and annual leave entitlement.
