Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our local payroll team and oversee payroll and personnel administration for our Biel site and its subsidiaries in Langnau and Geneva. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for coordinating the payroll process, ensuring compliance with social security partners and authorities, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the coordination of the local payroll team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll and personnel administration tasks
* Oversee the payroll and personnel administration for around 900 employees, including managing employee changes and performing year-end procedures
* Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders regarding social security, withholding taxes, pension funds, time tracking, and other related queries
* Handle payroll-related and insurance tasks, ensuring compliance with social security partners and authorities
* Maintain and update employee records, manage employee changes, and perform year-end procedures
Requirements:
* A background in HR management, payroll, or social security is essential
* Several years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international setting
* Strong Excel skills and technical expertise in SAP HCM applications
* Fluent in both spoken and written German, with very good English skills; knowledge of French is a plus
* A service-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach, known for being proactive and precise in your work style
