Job Title: Teacher of English Language and Literature

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of English Language and Literature to join our team at Ecolint. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students aged 13-18, including the IB Diploma Programme for English A.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language and Literature to students aged 13-18, including the IB Diploma Programme for English A
  • Regularly assess student progress and record and report results to parents
  • Ensure curriculum entitlement and progression is achieved for all students
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the department to develop teaching and examination resources

Requirements:

  • Experience of teaching English Literature/Language & Literature for the IB Diploma Programme or equivalent
  • Knowledge of studies in English Language and Literature for the IB Diploma Programme
  • A recognised secondary school English teaching qualification at graduate or postgraduate level
  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in English studies would be an advantage
  • Fluent English speaker; working knowledge of French would be an advantage
  • A passion for teaching and learning with a drive to achieve the highest possible standards
  • A genuine interest in students, with a caring sensitive attitude towards them and to cultural variance
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good ICT skills and a knowledge of their effective use to support pedagogy
  • Commitment to self-reflection and professional development
