Job Title: Creative Arts Teacher - Bilingual French/English

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Arts Teacher to join our team at La Grande Boissière campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inspiring art lessons to students aged 3-9 years old.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and teach creative art lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to ensure seamless integration of art into the Universal Learning Program.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress in art, providing regular feedback to parents.
Requirements:
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Ability to teach language through the arts.
  • Additional qualifications in teaching Visual Arts for Primary school students.
  • Experience with teaching through concept-based inquiry is an asset.
  • Experience in Early years and primary school teaching.
  • Ability to take into account different learning styles.
  • Experience of using strategies to support teaching children who do not have English or French as their first language.
  • Ability to make transdisciplinary connections and develop creativity in students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
  • Experience and willingness to take on and manage school-wide projects.
  • Ability to integrate technology in the teaching of visual art.
  • Experience in using a wide variety of art materials with children.
  • Experience in ordering art resources and working within a budget.
  • Strong English and French for teaching in both languages.
