About the Role
The International Air Transport Association is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Sustainability and Economics division. As a key member of our Net Zero Transition team, you will play a critical role in advocating for climate change solutions for aviation and ensuring the right options are available to airlines to support their transition plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and analyze data regarding sustainable aviation fuel developments across the globe.
- Support the research and development of a sustainable aviation fuel database center through deeper technology dives.
- Support IATA campaigns to accelerate the commercial deployment of sustainable aviation fuels.
- Support the development of guidance material for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support IATA events regarding sustainable aviation fuel topics.
- Coordinate, manage, and contribute to industry communication calls or events.
- Provide reliable and timely input and advice for member airlines' queries and requests for information.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience and a university degree preferably in a science or engineering discipline.
- A working understanding of fuels, policy, and sustainable aviation fuels in any of the following areas: technical, sustainability, commercial, or policy.
- A strong interest in analysis and using research to develop positions and solutions to complex problems.
- Experience in an international environment, especially engaging with UN agencies, EU Institutions, international organizations, and NGOs would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English and strong communications skills, with any additional languages being a strong asset.
Travel Required: 10%
