Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of new cell-culture platforms and tissue models intended to mimic the kidney microenvironment.
Job Description:
The postdoc will work closely with engineers and biologists at ETH Zurich and Novartis AG to develop advanced in vitro models of the renal tubular unit. This involves using stem-cell-derived renal cells to culture and characterize the functional properties of the developed model.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize cell-culture platforms and tissue models
- Cultivate stem-cell-derived renal cells and characterize their functional properties
- Collaborate with researchers from academia and industry to advance the project
Requirements:
- PhD in bioengineering, biology, physiology, or related field
- Experience with advanced in vitro models, transport across epithelial and/or endothelial barriers, and organoid differentiation and culture
- Knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques and biochemical assays
Working Conditions:
The postdoc will work in a highly interactive and collaborative international environment with access to resources and expertise from both institutions.
