Business Development Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team at the Everest Reinsurance Company (Ireland), dac (Zurich Branch). As a key member of our Strategic Reinsurance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to implement strategic decisions and develop relationships with key clients in the EMEA, Asia, and LatAm regions.
  • Develop client strategies and identify new areas of growth by analyzing market, financial, and solvency reports.
  • Support the growth of our Strategic Reinsurance portfolio by preparing materials on our product offerings and facilitating deal management.
  • Work closely with Underwriters to define client approaches and take an active role in strategic projects to drive innovation.
  • Perform analysis of key data and publicly available information to assist in defining and executing client strategies.
  • Collect market intelligence to identify new business opportunities and work with external partners and brokers to perform high-level market overviews.
  • Create client dashboards and prepare reports and presentations to support client and broker meetings.
  • Prepare high-quality pitching materials to increase our footprint in the Structured Reinsurance Solutions business segment.
  • Support in-house trainings and strategy workshops across different locations.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of financial and regulatory reports of insurance companies.
  • Knowledge of Solvency II framework.
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and formulate business recommendations.
  • Good project management skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to easily liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-cultural skills.
  • University degree: Master of Business Administration, Mathematics, Science.
  • Proficient in English, other languages an advantage.
