Marine Underwriter Specialist

As a Marine Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing customer submissions, calculating risk premiums, and developing tailored insurance solutions for Marine Cargo and Freight Forwarder risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contract management: reviewing customer submissions, calculating risk premiums, and drawing up insurance solutions tailored to customers' needs.
  • Stakeholder management: building long-term relationships with customers, brokers, and other AXA entities, collaborating across departments, and participating in internal strategic projects.
  • Communication & Negotiation: customizing communication, partnering with the business to determine negotiation objectives, and consulting with subject matter advisors to ensure the best interests of AXA XL are represented.
  • Process continuous improvement: developing, recommending, and championing continuous improvement efforts, staying ahead of industry developments, and making recommendations where applicable.

We're looking for someone with professional experience in the insurance or logistics and trading industry, excellent analytical and conceptual skills, and linguistic proficiency in German and English and/or French.
