About the Role

This is a leadership position where you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Application Security Researchers/Engineers. You will provide feedback, guidance, support, and mentorship to help individuals grow in autonomy and contribute to the squad's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, encouraging team members to share their ideas and concerns openly.
  • Align feedback with other teams to ensure smooth operations between them.
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the squad that aligns with the company strategy.
  • Be responsible for defining clear goals aligned with the team, department, and company.
  • Track sprints and progress.
  • Evaluate processes and ceremonies to ensure alignment with company expectations.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders (Product Managers, developer squads, Developer Advocates, management, etc.).
  • Hire world-class AppSec Engineers for the team.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new team members.
  • Model servant leadership behaviors and values, including humility.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of delivering results and building high-performing teams. The ideal candidate should have:

Technical Skills

  • Relevant experience in the AppSec domain.
  • A developer mindset, with experience in coding lifecycle, secure code production, code reviews, and unfamiliar codebases.
  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language and its development environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • A growth mindset and passion for helping individuals and teams reach their full potential.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks and resources effectively.
  • Capability to make progress in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge.
