About the Role

The Senior Compliance Officer - Investigations Team Lead will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of six people. Key responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and organization.
  • Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members.
  • Addressing potential conflicts among team members and escalating to senior management and/or HR Partner as necessary.
  • Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also oversee:

  • Hiring and onboarding processes, including ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team and organization.
  • Performance management, setting expectations, providing feedback, conducting reviews, and addressing performance issues.
  • Conducting underperformance processes with the help of senior management and HR Partner.
  • Operations management, controlling daily operations, and executing non-ordinary operations such as managing complex investigations and legal clarifications.
  • Reporting and documentation, including producing periodical statistics and reports, and ensuring proper documentation of main procedures.
  • Monitoring team capacity allocation and ensuring a good balance.

In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in compliance or a similar position.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws, with previous experience in financial crime/anti-money laundering.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of English and French.

Based on industry standards and job requirements, the estimated salary range for this role is CHF 80,000 - CHF 110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
