Nautical Recruiting Manager

Viking, a leading cruise line, seeks a highly skilled Manager Nautical Recruiting to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring a stable pipeline of accepted candidates for all vacant positions on our River vessels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organize, conduct, and evaluate successful assessment centers, job fairs, and career events.
- Establish and maintain a healthy relationship with partner agencies and represent Viking Cruises as an Employer of Choice in the cruise industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify recruiting profiles and selection criteria with the Nautical and Technical departments.
- Conduct personal and MS Teams interviews for onboard crew and Senior Officers.
- Organize and execute assessment centers, including location planning, communication with recruiting agencies, screening, selection, interviews, and statistics.
- Participate in recruiting events on board and land-based throughout Europe.
- Data gathering, input, and control over candidate resource pools are among your responsibilities.
- Research competitor conditions, visa requirements, and industry trends (benchmarking) in close cooperation with HR.
- Run specific marketing campaigns together with the Recruiting Marketing Expert team.
- Follow defined recruiting processes and policies in an effective and efficient manner to ensure given budgets and optimize if necessary.
- Ensure reporting of recruiting status quo and measures at all times in line with company standards.
- Maintain business relationships with a trusted network of high-quality recruiting agencies, vocational schools, and universities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the nautical, transportation, or tourism sector is desired, with experience in the inland shipping industry being an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including public speaking.
- Fluent in English and Dutch is a must, with German and French being an asset.
- Excellent software and analytical skills, including MS Office and SuccessFactors, with administrative experience being a must.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently but as a team player, with a service-oriented and guest-focused attitude.
