Job Overview

The Global Account Manager is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with existing SHL Medical customers. This involves understanding their needs and expectations, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services, and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial supply agreements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer support, acting as the primary point of contact for sales and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of supply agreements and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging relationships with existing customers to drive growth and expansion.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in account management and sales, with a deep understanding of business-to-business sales processes.
  • Industry knowledge in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, med-tech, primary packaging, secondary packaging, and/or drug delivery device industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive forward the commercial agenda, with a strong understanding of stakeholder management and cultural diversity.
  • Strong sales project management skills, with the ability to initiate, scope, and drive opportunities along the sales process.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and ideation skills, with the ability to turn customer problems into impactful solutions.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas for approximately 30% of working time, with a focus on customer meetings, events, and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in medical technology products and services, with a strong understanding of product features, functionality, and applications.
  • Proficiency in German and Mandarin languages, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and business practices.
