Status is a pioneering organization in the web3 ecosystem, dedicated to building the tools and infrastructure for a secure, private, and open decentralized web.

Our TeamStatus has been a distributed team since inception, with a strong focus on autonomy, minimal hierarchy, and no fixed work hours. We believe in working collaboratively while supporting the organization's priorities.
Desktop TeamAfter a brief pause, the Status Desktop team was restarted in 2023 with a clean sheet QT/QML UI codebase. Our current focus is on the privacy-centric messenger and group chat functionality, with development of our new 'multi-chain from the ground up' crypto Wallet underway. We're also working on ÐApp browser and blockchain node functionality.
Responsibilities- Identify, record, document, and track bugs, ensuring implementation matches designs and requirements.
- Collaborate with developers to test new features and identify issues.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities.
- Participate in prioritizing the backlog of bugs and features.
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Test Engineer with a strong background in testing Qt/QML applications, desktop applications for Windows/OSx/Linux, and open source development workflow. You should have excellent communication skills in English and a strong alignment with our principles.
Bonus points if you have experience designing and implementing scripted automated testing tools, have worked in a distributed environment, or have a strong interest in blockchain and Ethereum.
