Status is pioneering the advancement of a secure, private, and open web3 through innovative tools and infrastructure.

We strive to push the web3 ecosystem forward through research, developer tools, and open-source support.
Status is an open-source, Ethereum-based app that empowers users to chat, transact, and access decentralized applications on the web3.
We're building foundational infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem, including Nimbus ETH clients, the Keycard hardware wallet, and the Waku messaging protocol.
Our team is distributed, autonomous, and values asynchronous communication.
Responsibilities:
- Record, document, and track bugs, ensuring implementation matches designs.
- Collaborate with developers to identify issues and root causes.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities.
- Participate in prioritizing the backlog of bugs/feature.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a QA test engineer.
- Experience in testing mobile applications.
- Experience in creating test strategies and manual test execution.
- Experience with open-source development workflow, including GitHub.
- Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, and result-oriented autonomous worker.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Alignment with our principles.
Bonus Points:
- Strong interest in blockchain and good understanding of Ethereum.
- Experience designing and implementing scripted automated testing tools.
- Experience working in a distributed environment valuing asynchronous communication.
