Senior Clinical Supply Project Manager

Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) is a leading healthcare company with a rich history of innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Supply Project Manager to join our team in Beijing, China.

About the Role

We offer a highly competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing strategic and operational plans for all activities associated with clinical supplies for assigned studies. This will include working closely with cross-functional teams, senior management, external vendors, and clinical sites to ensure alignment and collaboration in the supply planning process.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in planning, scheduling, coordination, and processing of supply chain activities. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels.

In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of the principles of project management and clinical customer relationship management. They will also be familiar with supply chain systems and software, such as SAP or Oracle, and demand planning principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate as a key stakeholder on the Clinical Trial Teams (CTT) and collaborate closely with other functional area representatives to negotiate timelines and strategy for clinical supplies.
  • Interact with key partner organizations, such as clinical development, regulatory, quality, and other supply chain areas, to address clinical supply-related topics.
  • Responsible and accountable for establishing the timelines for clinical supply needs per study and providing the signal for sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business, or related discipline required, MS/MBA preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in project management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, coordination, and processing of supply chain activities, or the equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, quality procedures, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) execution.
