About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join our team in Zug, Switzerland. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a key role in driving innovation and advancing the field of natural language processing (NLP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cutting-edge NLP models and systems to solve real-world problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and related fields, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field or Master's degree with significant industry experience.
  • At least one year of experience in building IR/NLP/ML systems.
  • Strong software engineering skills for prototyping and development.
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of practical experience building IR, ML, or NLP systems in academia or industry.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions with large language models.
  • Relevant publications at top-tier conferences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
