About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diplomatic Academic Programme Manager to join our team at the Geneva School of Diplomacy. As a key member of our academic staff, you will be responsible for developing and promoting our academic programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and promote academic programmes to meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Maintain academic oversight of programme delivery, assessment, and monitoring
  • Support the Director, academic staff, and faculty on programme design, delivery, and assessment
  • Select and manage teaching staff, including negotiations of teaching conditions
  • Draft and coordinate academic calendars and schedules
  • Direct faculty in course development and improvement
  • Coordinate student and faculty issues, exams, thesis supervision, and grades
  • Update student handbooks, programme handbooks, and other academic documents
  • Coordinate student information management on the online portal
  • Assist with internal and external evaluation and accreditation processes
  • Provide support during student induction and progression
Requirements
  • Master's degree in international relations, political science, or a related field; PhD preferred
  • Teaching experience advantageous
  • Excellent English communication skills; French or other language knowledge an asset
  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database experience
  • Familiarity with LMS systems and academic programme development
  • Knowledge of university-level education systems in Switzerland an advantage
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between 60,000 - 80,000 CHF per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid vacation time.
