Job Description

A leading pharmaceutical company in Basel, Switzerland is seeking a highly skilled System and Process Specialist to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP, particularly in supply chain modules, and a solid understanding of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and applicable tools and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and coordinate system, interface, or transmission related issues in day-to-day distribution and logistics operations.
  • Participate in global projects to improve supply-chain management functions and performance.
  • Support and provide advanced knowledge for specific and clinical distribution related projects.
  • Perform system testing, user acceptance, and regression tests for new or changed functionalities.
  • Responsible for the operationalization of new projects, including documentation and training of teams.
  • Drive best practices, standardization, and optimization of distribution processes across the organization.
  • Maintain compliant functionality and process standards between systems and external logistics service providers.
  • Support the system and process chapter strategy in line with the overall distribution strategy.
  • Manage interface monitoring and issue management.
  • Responsible for daily operational business continuity.
  • Identify and drive root cause analysis and process and performance improvements.
  • Act as the main contact for IT partners and teams.
  • Manage overall access and role management.
  • Act as robotics process automation owner.
  • Responsible for managing advance analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Foster a learning and collaboration culture within and across the chapters.
  • Act as a coach and consultant for the distribution organization.
Requirements
  • Min. Bachelor degree in a technical, business, or supply chain field or associated relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in SAP, especially in supply chain modules.
  • Min. 5-7+ years operational experience in clinical supply chain/distribution/planning, including experience in ERP IT systems and/or ERP deployments.
  • Experience with IRT and Middleware (e.g. TIBCO).
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, industry best practices, and applicable tools and systems.
  • Strong experience within a project environment with agile methodologies and LEAN/OE experience.
  • Excellent language skills in English is a must, German skills would be a plus.
