Job SummaryThe Public Area Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas, including corridors, floors, and equipment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain public areas, including corridors, floors, and equipment, to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Inspect and report any damages or issues with furniture and equipment.
- Support the smooth running of the housekeeping department by delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
- Take responsibility for assigned duties and tasks, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to achieve departmental plans and objectives, including controlling costs and inventory, and maintaining productivity and performance levels.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and guests, promoting FIVE's culture and values.
- Provide exceptional guest service by answering guest questions and requests in a friendly and caring manner, and taking appropriate actions to resolve any issues.
- Write down relevant information for record purposes and report special attention guests, unusual situations, and incidents that need follow-up.
- Provide turn-down service to assigned guest rooms according to established standards, including turning down the bed, replenishing guest room and bath supplies, and cleaning the bathroom if necessary.
- Hands-on approach with a 'can-do' work attitude.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest services with a passion.
- Knowledge of the housekeeping industry and up-to-date with housekeeping trends.
- Proficiency in computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent standards of cleanliness and knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
- Previous public area attendant experience of 1-2 years is a plus.
- Must be highly organized and energetic, with the ability to get the job done.
- Swiss work permit holder or EU ID/Passport holder.
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations.
- Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.
