Your RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our global R&D department in St. Gallen.
Your Responsibilities- Develop new products and technologies and secure their intellectual property.
- Expertise in polymer, glass, or rubber products and related technologies, as well as primary and secondary packaging.
- Execute complex innovation and customer-specific projects from idea to market launch.
- Plan technical work packages and deliver them according to quality, delivery, and cost targets, in alignment with your project manager.
- Understand regulatory and technical customer requirements in detail.
- Know and understand production processes and their impact on product functionalities, as well as the impact of product designs on manufacturability and cost.
- University degree in Life Science or Engineering (medical technology, pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, etc.).
- (5+) 2+ years of working experience in product development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging.
- Knowledge and experience with glass, rubber, or polymer products and related technologies.
- Knowledge of design control process, process validation, and related standards and regulations (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and in German (written and spoken).
- Structured working style and ability to plan and prioritize technical activities.
- Creativity and ability to think out of the box and generate intellectual property.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
