Role Overview

As an Application Scientist, you will be the scientific voice for DECTRIS, engaging with OEM partners, researchers at synchrotron facilities, and laboratories worldwide. You will provide application support, participate in conferences, conduct workshops and webinars, and demonstrate the benefits of DECTRIS technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become an expert on DECTRIS X-ray products and their applications
  • Collaborate with researchers to understand their experimental needs and identify new application areas for DECTRIS detection solutions
  • Contribute to marketing and sales efforts by crafting compelling content and delivering presentations that showcase DECTRIS products
  • Partner with the marketing and sales teams to develop and expand partnerships with key opinion leaders
Requirements
  • Hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field
  • Possess a strong foundation in X-ray diffraction and a profound expertise in Chemical Crystallography and/or Powder Diffraction
  • Proven experience in scientific research and strong academic network
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with scientists from diverse backgrounds
  • A passion for science and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear language
