Adjunct Faculty in Chemistry Laboratory

Geneva College invites applications for a Chemistry Laboratory Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and mentoring students in the laboratory setting. Responsibilities include preparing for laboratory experiments, providing guidance to students on lab techniques, and ensuring a safe laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned contact hours per semester.
- Prepare all course materials and lessons.
- Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines.
- Provide interesting and relevant assignments for students.
- Suitably challenge, engage, support, and communicate with students.
- Provide timely grades to students.
- Respond to student questions.
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered.
Position Requirements:
- Exhibit behavior consistent with and supportive of Geneva's mission, vision, core values, and standards of conduct.
- Hold a master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, education (with science emphasis), or a closely related field.
- Have laboratory experience.
- Be a thoughtful and articulate Christian and an active member of a Protestant evangelical Christian church.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold a PhD in chemistry.
- Have previous experience teaching chemistry laboratory and using a Learning Management System.
- Have experience in curriculum development.
