Job Title: Adjunct Faculty

Description:

The Geneva College Department of Higher Education invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in the Master of Arts in Higher Education (MAHE) Program. This role will involve teaching designated on-campus and/or online courses in the MAHE Program, beginning Spring 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned contact hours per semester.
  • Prepare all course materials and lessons.
  • Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines.
  • Design interesting and relevant assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes.
  • Engage students in a supportive and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide timely grades and respond to student questions.
  • Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or College Student Development.
  • Ability to communicate course material with clarity and precision.
  • Facilitate meaningful dialogue in the classroom.
  • Foster a learning environment that engages graduate students as active participants.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) or doctoral studies/candidacy in Higher Education/Student Affairs.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or College Student Development.
