Job Summary
We are seeking a Team Lead to join our Buffer Production Team in our Biologics organization. As a Team Lead, you will manage and coach a team of production team members, optimize production schedules, and support the automation of processes. Your focus will be on the production of buffers in our facility, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will interact with an interdisciplinary team of project leaders, supervisors, MES, and DeltaV specialists, and be accountable for the performance and results of assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of production team members, responsible for all aspects of human resource management, including qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions, and discipline issues.
- Implement the Lonza culture by promoting openness to change, new ideas, cooperative teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Accountable for the execution of all production campaigns in your manufacturing unit, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery.
- First point of contact for production issues in your manufacturing unit, following common escalation guidelines.
- Collaborate with production support, QA, and production teams to find solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Represent the operational area in customer meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or related disciplines.
- Working experience in biotechnical manufacturing.
- MES and DeltaV experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various interfaces within the organization.
- Strong team orientation.
- Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude, with an open mind for new ideas and suggestions.
- Agile, highly motivated, and dynamic drive, with a solution-oriented approach.
- Business fluency in German and English.
