About the Role

Viking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enrichment Lecturer to join our team on our award-winning Ocean ships. As a Guest Lecturer - Cultural Insights, you will deliver engaging and informative presentations on destination-related topics, providing a unique and enriching experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver a series of destination-based lectures on board, addressing customs, law, dress, traditions, religion, language, and food relevant to the area the ship is sailing in and the ports of call.
  • Conduct Q&A sessions following the lectures and deliver scenic commentary where fitting.
  • Host tables for guests at dinner and accompany guests on shore excursions in various ports.
  • Be an ambassador for Viking, promoting our brand and values.

Requirements

  • Excellent public speaking skills, with the ability to deliver knowledgeable and engaging presentations.
  • A degree or relevant personal experience in the field of expertise.
  • Lecturing experience within a college/university/cruise ship setting.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Dedicated, flexible team player with a positive and approachable personality.
  • Professional appearance and well-groomed.
  • Proactive in upholding Viking standards of excellence.
  • Available to guests for questions, feedback, and general inquiries.
  • Excellent English language skills in both writing and speech; foreign language proficiency a plus.
