Compliance Expert for Financial Risk Management

EFG International is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join its Onboarding & Periodic Reviews team in Switzerland. This role requires expertise in complex client dealings and proficiency in Private Banking KYC/AML domain.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive compliance analysis and recommendations for account openings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform periodic reviews of relationships, assessing due diligence and risk classification.
  • Assess tax transparency risk, including FATCA and CRS forms.
  • Manage requests from other departments or third parties, transactions approval, or other tasks as required.
  • Present cases of higher risk to the Client Acceptance Committee, providing relevant risk assessment and compliance recommendations.
  • Advise the front office on Financial Crime Risk and agree on the Swiss banks' Code of Conduct.
  • Escalate suspicious issues to the Financial Intelligence unit or relevant stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits or specific projects as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 years experience in compliance roles with strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
  • Good understanding of current sanctions regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents and policies.
  • Professional English required, with Swiss National languages and additional languages a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and act with integrity.
  • Superior attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Collaborative personality and time management skills.
