The role of Inclusive Communications Specialist is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in a dynamic environment.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inclusive Communications Specialist. This role will be responsible for supporting our internal campaigns, working closely with diverse teams to craft and communicate key messages that resonate across a multicultural audience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical and administrative support to our internal campaigns, including observing and learning about campaign management.
  • Work closely with the DEI team to develop communication strategies that promote gender equality and inclusivity.
  • Participate in creating engaging content, such as short stories, videos, or digital materials, that highlight initiatives promoting gender equality.
  • Support the design of visual content, including posters, flyers, and basic digital content, for internal campaigns, with opportunities to develop graphic design skills under the supervision of experienced team members.
  • Learn about advocacy strategies by assisting the team in ongoing initiatives and providing insights and experiences that can help shape gender advocacy efforts, with mentoring provided to support growth in this area.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to communication, supporting DEI efforts across the organization.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a tertiary degree or equivalent, preferably in a field related to communications, marketing, or social sciences.
  • Proficiency in English and French, with good verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Excellent ability to work in a multicultural environment successfully and demonstrate commitment and support for diversity, gender-responsive, inclusive, and non-discriminatory behavior and attitudes.
  • Basic communication skills, with enthusiasm for learning how to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
  • Interest in content creation and media production, with a desire to develop practical skills in these areas.
  • Passion for gender equality, ideally demonstrated through academic or volunteer experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multinational team, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks with support from the team.

What We Offer

  • A tripartite internship agreement is mandatory.
  • 6-12 months, according to internship agreement.
  • Full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Based in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Gross monthly remuneration 2000 CHF.
