We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong affinity for Product Management to join our team at Kiteworks Europe AG. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and experience in data engineering and analytics, with a focus on redesigning and optimizing our data schema to enhance our platform's compliance reporting and anomaly detection capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Optimizing and redesigning our audit log schema to meet the growing needs for reporting and insight delivery to customers' security and compliance teams.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to design and implement our data vision and ensure consistency across features.
  • Working with product managers to define audit log and data-related requirements of features.
  • Communicating regularly with senior management, sales, marketing, business development, engineering, and QA to strategize, plan, and build products.
  • Training sales, sales engineering, and support engineering on newly introduced features and reports.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering and/or product management.
  • Fluent English language skills (minimum C1 level).
  • Experience working with global teams and a willingness to meet 2-3 days a week in evening hours.
  • Experience with internet-based applications and platforms.
  • Experience with agile development processes.
  • Comfortable communicating and presenting to global teams and leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with design and research methodologies and using insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • Up to four trips to San Mateo headquarters (if fully remote), and up to four international trips per year.
  • Cybersecurity and compliance experience; expertise with databases, networks, hardware, firewalls, and encryption a plus, but not required.
