Procurement and Payment Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare and execute payment batches for HQ and subsidiaries in 4 different countries, ensuring timely and efficient payment processing.
  • Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and confirmations regarding payments, providing excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to the monthly close process, including journal entries and regulatory compliance, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including email management, reminders, and invoice archiving, maintaining a well-organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the operational accounting team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing the accounting close process.
  • Develop strong relationships with various teams within the company, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to the achievement of company objectives, driving business success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
  • Working knowledge of Swiss CO (opportunity to learn US GAAP), with a focus on accurate financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with French and/or German being a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and data security, maintaining the integrity of financial information.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, with NetSuite experience being a plus.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs, with a growth mindset.
