About the Role
The US Pharmacopeia is seeking a Pharmaceutical Business Development Lead to join our team in Europe. This is a non-supervisory position responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies to increase sales and expand our presence in the region.
As a Pharmaceutical Business Development Lead, you will work closely with our Director - Strategic Customer Engagement and other relevant RPO staff to identify business opportunities and develop account-specific plans to increase sales and expand our presence in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Develop and implement business development strategies to increase sales and expand our presence in the region.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including identifying opportunities to expand our presence in the region.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our products and services, and be able to communicate their value to customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Biological Sciences.
- A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including sales and account management roles.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of regulations, laws, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
