Mechanical Design Engineer

Sécheron Hasler Group, a leading global supplier of electrical and electronic safety components and solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Pilot NC Treatment: Lead, execute, and delegate NC treatment activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of non-conformities.
- Quality Circle Leadership: Analyze, organize, and lead Quality Circles, leveraging technical expertise to drive process improvements.
- Root Cause Analysis: Resolve non-conformities using 8D, 5-Why, and 6M methodologies, involving cross-functional teams to ensure effective problem-solving.
- Solution Focus: Develop and implement cost-effective solutions, balancing risk and benefit.
- Supplier Coordination: Coordinate and hand-over NC treatment to QA-Supplier team and other relevant departments.
- Client Satisfaction: Prioritize NC treatment and related actions to meet client requirements, ensuring timely delivery and containment.
- Implementation and Follow-up: Implement and request implementation of NC actions, ensuring evidence-based closure.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate complex or blocking issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- NC Closure: Follow-up on NC treatment, supporting Customer Support, and driving closure.
- Presentations: Present NC resolution during NC closing sessions.
- Development Support: Support Development and Engineering Change (ECR) projects to anticipate issues.
- Phase Reviews: Participate in Phase Reviews (DEV, Client Realization).
- Continual Improvement: Lead continual improvement projects (CIP).
- Quality and Health & Safety: Contribute to the overall effort in Quality and Health & Safety.
- Education: Master's degree (MS) in Mechanics, Microtechnics, Electrotechnics, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and Experience: Deep and wide knowledge in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments is essential. Certified internal auditor is a plus. 15+ years of experience in R&D, Quality, or/and Production Engineering.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and French, German is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Experience in complex problem-solving and highly regulated industry is a plus.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication and negotiation skills, team-spirit, autonomous with continual improvement / Lean mindset.
