Skyguide is seeking an experienced Strategic IT Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement and management of IT-related goods and services. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Job Description

The Strategic IT Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing category strategies for IT procurement, including hardware, software, IT services, cloud solutions, and telecom
  • Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding strategic suppliers for IT products and services
  • Negotiating contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and terms of engagement with suppliers
  • Analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO) for IT purchases and identifying cost-saving/avoidance opportunities
  • Communicating category plans and procurement strategies effectively to leadership and stakeholders
  • Assessing risks related to IT suppliers, including cybersecurity, compliance, and delivery risks
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to category management, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and contract adherence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, IT, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM, PMP) is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, sourcing, or category management
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent diplomatic communication abilities to effectively interact with expert organizations
  • Proficient in English written and orally, good command in French and/or German is a plus
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of CHF 120,000 per year, depending on experience.

This role is based in Wangen b. Dübendorf, Switzerland.
